Planning poker is a popular technique of Agile project management that allows the development team to estimate the time and effort needed for each task. Then, how should planning poker be used to ensure the best performance? First of all, each or team member has been given a set of cards with numbers. Each card number represents the level of effort they believe the task will take. Then, the team discusses the task that has to be estimated. A male team member picks up a card for a number representing his ideas without revealing to the next person. After all cards have been collected, they lay them out all at the same time. If the numbers vary from different people, the team has to discuss again until reaching an agreement. Once a correct estimation of levels has been found, they right it down and move to the next task.
